How to make blog URL more SEO-friendly by using Custom Permalinks in Blogger/Blogspot (BlogShrill)

Last year, Blogger has introduced a new and powerful feature
to boost your visibility in search engines. Now, you may write your blog post’s
URL in the same way as you write the title of your blog. Earlier, there was no
such feature to add a ‘Custom Permalink’ for your post and the permalink used
to be decided from your post’s title within 39 characters including dashes’-‘.

Let’s look into the below example to understand it more
clearly:

Suppose, you have written a post with a topic as ‘Population increase; a risk to the origin of the Earth', and so, your URL or
permalink used to be decided automatically like ‘population-increase-a-risk-to-the-origi.html’.

But, with the use of a Custom Permalink, you write you
complete title in your URL, no word limits or barriers will be there, and the
other part of your title ‘risk to the origin of the Earth’ may also be included
in the URL.

This post being posted in December, 2012, will now look as:

http://topicswhatsoever.blogspot.in/2012/12/population-increase-a-risk-to-the-origin-of-the-earth.html

Characters allowed in Custom URL are: A-Z, a-z, 0-1, dash, period
and underscore.

Is not it great friends? So what are waiting for? Just check
out your old and less optimized URLs

from old posts, revert them to Draft and
re-publish after writing a Custom URL of all of them.
